Founder and Managing Principal
JC Castillo has spent the last decade plus helping investors profitably navigate the ups & downs of a full market real estate cycle. In 2006 he founded Multifamily Property Group (MPG), a private equity firm focused on large scale value-add apartment properties in select US markets. In 2013 he founded MPG Residential to serve as the firm’s exclusive in-house operations division. Today MPG has grown to $70M in Assets Under Management and lifetime transactions totaling well over 1000 apartment units.
Eric Hardy
Principal, VP of Capital Funding and Acquisitions
Eric Hardy heads MPG’s Capital Funding and Acquisition process. Since 2013 he has been deeply involved in all transactional elements of the sales process including underwriting, contract negotiations, financing and private equity placement for the MPG portfolio. Eric has analyzed over a hundred properties to date, resulting in successful closings of more than 750 apartment doors with a total value over $50M. Eric was a successful semiconductor sales executive before joining MPG in 2018 to follow his passion in multifamily real estate. Based in Orange County, he is a graduate of UC Davis with a BA in Mathematics. He is married and has two children.
Edith K Ramon
Principal, VP of Operations
MPG Residential
Edith Ramon is responsible for the performance and coordination of property operations for all investments managed by MPG Residential. She has over 15 years of successful multifamily property operation experience including lease ups, acquisitions, renovations and re-positions of both financially and physically stressed assets. She also has experience with tax credit properties. She has held a variety of property management and operations roles in several markets throughout the DFW area. Edith holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Michael Cagle
Principal, VP of Repositions
Michael has been active in the architecture world for over a decade, starting his own consulting business in 2013 with services ranging from design to project presentation. Before starting his company, he worked for various local and national architecture firms such as CallisonRTKL (previously RTKL Associates Inc.) where he gained valuable experience and honed his abilities both as a creator and leader. He began working with MPG in 2015 as a consultant to design and oversee property repositioning initiatives, a role that evolved into a full-time position in 2017. Michael holds a BS in Architecture from Texas Tech University.
